Plate bumper fitment - Possibility??

Plate bumper fitment - Possibility??
I had a quick thought I wanted to run by some of you guys. I was looking in to buying a steel plate bumper from Custom4x4 - Jeep Bumpers and Rocker Guards
I know that they offer the model for the Ford Ranger but I don't like how low it hangs and it's a little expensive for me. I was looking in to other possibilities. I see that they offer a bumper that's somewhat cheaper that's meant for the XJ model of Jeeps. I like the tapered model without the brush guard a lot more than the Ranger model and it's cheaper. I sent an email to the company and he gave me a total length (vehicle width) of 64 1/2" From my measurements it appears that it'd fit nicely but I just wanted to run this by you all first. What say the experts here?? This model of their bumper is the model I was thinking of adapting to my 2001 Edge 4x4: Custom4x4 - Jeep Bumpers and Rocker Guards
Anyone want to do a quick photoshop of the tapered model bumper on an 01+ Ranger for me??
Thoughts or opinions??

Pics of any 01 Ranger would suffice. I don't have any acceptable pictures for anyone to use. I suppose I could link a couple pictures to make it easier for someone to do a quick photoshop for me?? If I end up doing this to my truck I plan on taking pictures throughout the project to post up here in a detailed write-up..
Here's a similar Ranger or two. I tried to find some pictures with acceptable angles to match up to the bumper page shown again below..

Again, here's the page with clickable pictures of the model of bumper I was thinking of: Custom4x4 - Jeep Bumpers and Rocker Guards

Yeah, I figure at $360 for the XJ bumper and $450 for the Ranger bumper, it's worth doing. Plus I like the profile/shape/low profile design of the XJ bumper better.. I can weld any brackets to it that would be necessary..
Of course there'd be additional costs to have the shackle mounts welded on but still.....

Yeah I understand that. I can fab up any mounts that are necessary though. I just like the tapered XJ bumper better.. It just so happens that it's cheaper too, which is a plus in my book...
I really hope someone will do a photoshop for me to give me a better idea of fitment before I pull the trigger on one...

My bumper started out as the one you want. It takes quite a bit of work to make it look right but doable. I added the skirt around it because I didn't like the way it looked without it and wanted more protection but if you didn't want it you can see where it lines up. You have to fill in a few places because the angles aren't the same and a few other things

Well, I'm bumping this thread back to life..
I'm getting ready to buy the Ranger bumper from C4x4 but I noticed in these pictures I robbed from some members photobucket (sorry) that it appears the bumper only mounts to the innermost part of the 90 degree mounts???
How much winching did you do with that bumper? I plan on using mine for winching fairly often so strength is a major concern, and especially with the way it appears to bolt up.
Blow up this picture and look closely. You can see the outer parts of the original bumper mounts. This worries me.. Especially after spending around $600 plus winch costs..
I wish someone had better pictures of the way it actually mounted..

That truck had a BL, some people that have the bumper do/did not have a BL...which makes a difference when mounting to the truck. Plus, when I got the bumper I did not want to cut up the factory brackets just in case I wanted to go back to the factory bumper later...That is why you see the factory brackets...I used the mounting points of the factory tow hooks to mount the bumper, the plan was to replace that cross member all together later, cut the factory brackets off, add brackets down the outside frame rails
The Ranger bumper offered from what I understand is suppose to come with mounting brackets now and the Ranger bumper offered is no different then the ZJ bumper.

You sound pissed or something. Anyway, I was just worried about how it mounted to the factory location. That's all.. I was hoping someone had pictures of the actual mounting brackets, etc. Now that they offer the Ranger specific mounting brackets there shouldn't be any problems though. I failed to consider the fact that your truck had been body lifted and that complicated the mounting process. My bad I guess. Oops.
My truck will be for looking good and be used quite a bit here on the farm. Not to mention the occasional mudding trip..
Thanks for the replies everyone.
