I am going to be building myself a prerunner front bumper soon for my 07 ford ranger 4x4 and if I wanna bash stuff with it (small tree kinda stuff... ha) i was wondering when I hit stuff, will it easily set off my airbags? what do you guys do? disable them? i just don't want my airbags goin off when I don't want it to...

mine don't and i hit shtuff all the time. it isn't easy to set off an airbag. i think there are two sensors on the truck that both have to go off at the same time, but don't quote me on that. You should be fine.

Just.. either use a very thick aluminum/diamond plate/steel skid plate if you do anything.. you gott make sure that whatever you hit.. doesnt pop back up under the hood or into yrou fuel tank.. get a skid plate for under there as well, cover it up real godo with som efabbed mounting bolts. Hell, now that I think about it, I may have to do that sometime myself.. =) drill a few hole sin it for drainage adn such.
