HID lights for my Ranger
Hey guys, I'm looking for some advice on HID lights for my Ranger. It's a 1999 XLT standard cab. Right now I'm looking at the Kensun brand on Amazon for 69.99$ It is a single beam 6000K HID conversion kit. What are some other decent brands to go with? And advice would be nice. Thanks.

if you really wanted the cheap alternative and get a plug n play kit, go to ddmtuning.com and buy a kit. 6000k is stupid blue, just get 4300 which is white, 5000K max.

6000k is pretty blue. I have 5000 in my car and they have a good amount of blue to them.
my cars lights have taken on a deer at 50mph and still work 3 years later with the original bulbs.
the fogs on my ranger have been fully submerged in water/mud while being on and work perfectly fine.
DDM hids are fine if you make sure they come from California. If you don't request they be shipped from there instead they'll come directly from China.
i have a retrofit kit waiting to go in my truck but the fogs will remain DDM

Never go cheap on headlights or brakes..
Save up and go with HID projectors. You will not regret doing it the right way. 5000k is the max. I run OEM D2S bulbs from an Infiniti in my projectors. The "yellower" light works much better in bad weather. I run 3000k Nokya halogens in my fogs. Those 3000k bulbs are really effective in bad weather. I can actually see better when I turn them on. I have the stuff to mod Fusion projectors in soon. Can't wait to see how they work with 3000k bulbs.
