Yeah that doesn't seem right to me either. I don't think its the # of trucks made.

I'm thinking it actually is right now... I just read on Autoblog that in 2007 Ford sold ~450,000 F-150s, so mine being that high makes sense, so the numbers on the Rangers make sense too. I'll have to check my Ranger when I get home, I know it was built like April of 99 sold as a 99 so it should have a high number too...

Typically around 800,000 F-Series trucks a year. It goes up and down. I believe some years they sold over 1 million F-Series trucks.

i think it would be funny to go to a dealer if your buying a car/truck and pick out the one with the lowest number. That would make the sales people look at you funny

I'd pick the one with the highest number, they've had all the extra time to figure out what they were doing wrong and fix it... at least that's what I'd like to tell myself... lol

That's nice in theory but my truck came on the 1st load of '08s and it's already over 15K.... can you imagine how many were already produced before they even got the 1st one back?! Holy cow....
