Saturday my father and I went to St. Louis drove the truck up there

Left with a full tank of gas time I got to the parking lot of the ball game I still had 1/4 tank of gas.

I didnt want to fill up in St. louis I went ahead and headed home stoped in Eureka Mo. about 30 miles from St. louis I was just a tad under 1/4 tank by then

I figured my gas milage up and I got around 21 mpg
That was all interstate driving 75mph

Im not sure how big my tank is. so this may be off cause I dont know how many miles I could have got with what was remaining before I filled up

Not bad at all I think





I dont get people crying of gas prices and stuff. Goverment said slow down to 55 and save avg. of 23% I was getting passed doing 75 by suv's and large gas guzzling trucks

 

What motor do you have???

I hear ya! Just did a drive to Florence and back this weekend (6 hrs ea. way) and I averaged over 22 on the way down! I don't think I've ever been over 21.5 so I was shocked but loving it!

 

The past weekend I got 17 against the wind and 21 with the wind going about 65-70 hauling some landscaping stuff also....

 

this past weekend i got 20 towing a jet ski i had the cruise control set at 70

 

i got 21-22 down through montana, and into wyoming....all intersate driving nothing under 70mph

 

Must be nice im on 33" with 3.88 in the rear and i get 13 mph it sucks with a 4.0 sohc so im getting robbed

Man my truck is a hog i guess. I've yet to pull more than like 18 with 31s and 4.10s. Maybe i should try 75 instead of 65-70 lol

 

my motor must be getting broken in. normally i'd get 440-460 kms per tank (100/ 1/4 tank average). this tank, i'm at 300 and i've still got half a tank left. i try to make my tanks last 2 weeks. so far 6 days, 1/2 tank and 300 later.

 

i got 16.3 mpg on my last tank. All in town never went faster than 45. On the highway i get about 22-23 mpg at 65-70 mph. not bad for a 4.0 FX4 auto
