magnetic oil drain plug

Any of you have one? If so, ever see anything stuck to it at oil change time?
Either way I think it's a good thing to have which is cheap insurance just in case anything may be going wrong internally. How else would we know? Ordering mine tomorrow.

I've seen shows on Spike use them. They seem to work REALLY well. I personally would recommend it.

My fiance's sonoma had a magnet on hers and it rarely had stuff on it, but it would clean it off when i changed the oil. Wow, I cannot believe you guys drive so little. Up until a month ago I changed my oil every month for about a year. I was driving that much to school and work, lol.

Put a magnet on the outside of your oil filter. Then any metal shavings go when you change the filter. Just don't forget to put your magnet on your new filter.

Thats a great idea. I'm gonna do that. You can even get a magnetic oil filter. I've seen them for $12-$25 but I think that price is too steep for something that will go into the garbage.

Run synthetic and a good oil filter and change it every 7-10,000.
