Head Gasket Removal Question?

Head Gasket Removal Question?
I have been pulling apart my 95 4.0 OHV motor to find out why my heads are leaking coolant (Gasket or new heads) ? Its my first time doing this with this motor & I am surprised at how much stuff I have to take off to get to the heads to remove. I have the top of the motor cleared of wiring harness etc & noticed the power steering pump & Alternator seem connected to the heads as well as the EGR unit. Am I right or am I wrong? Do I need to pull that stuff as well in order to remove the lower intake & heads, Is their more to pull? Also with the manifolds, I removed each tire as well. Would it be easier to leave the manifolds on the heads then take them off? I feel like I am half way their on removing things or am not? Any input greatly appreciated..

I'm actually doing this same thing right now, I removed all the wiring (remembering to mark everything for easy installation) and moved the power-steering pump and removed the alternator completely. You don't want to leave the manifold attached to the head because after u remove it and cut the heads of the bolts off of the manifold u still have to remove the remainder of the bolt, of course nothing ever goes nicely in this 4 of my 12 manifold bolts to heads were stuck in. I had to knock off the flange( which worked nicely because both of my flanges were worn to crap) to remove the manifold&cylinder head. Then I progressed at getting the remaining four studs out. But yes you do have to remove the alternator and the power steering pump because they are connected to the head. (there is also a ground cable on the back of the drivers side head.)
