Just trying to see what everyone is using for recovery straps, and any other gear you might have.

Here is mine, the strap is rated for 50,000 lbs, its 4" wide, I got it at cost (glad to know people) for 60 bucks (retail on it is $120) 30ft long.

 

I don't have any pics. of my chain, but I have a partial of my 15' strap with a hook on each end. My chain is 20' with a hook on eack end. The strap was like $15-20 at Target and the Chain was like $40 at Lowes.

 

Basically this. If i dont get em out in the first pull then its time to do somethin else. Cause i dont ******! IT's retarded!

and a few spare shackels and a 25000pd strap a chain for towing down the road..

 

 

got the 15 fter from advanced, like 20 bucks and its lasted me over a year now, i think that is worth the money. when i need a new one i will probably be upgrading to something better, can't say when that will be, this one has done me good.

 

I don't have any pics but mine includes a 3"x30" strap,highlift jack,shovel, shackles,tree saver, winch just need a front mount receiver and a couple of other things I know I am forgetting.

Mike just a heads up, be careful with that strap with the hooks on the ends I have seen them break and do alot of damage.

i've got a D hook, 2 straps, going to be buying a high lift very soon, and my hook..

 

dude... that is awesome.. my dad does the same stuff... and i know that would be an awesome surprise.

 

3in by 30 foot pro comp tow strap, also have a D ring.

 

I have a Wally world brand 10k lb towstrap with loop ends, I'll be buying a better one soon, and a couple of D-rings. A big mutherfudger of a bumper with a winch doesn't hurt either. Oh, I have that towstrap bolted to my receiver. And I have a chain that was made to tow Big rigs that is older than me. It's a 1/2" Grade 70 I think. Oh, and my front tow hooks, too.

 

1 d-ring, 1 hook that goes into rear hitch...fits perfect so that the strap stays. 2x20=20,000 procomp strap. 1 small shovel. no pics, wife took the digi when she left.

I've got a padlocked heavy-duty container in my bed which contains:

• OEM jack
• 2 ton ***-a-Long
• 20' tow cable rated at 5 tons
• 30' x 3" tow strap with hook ends (yikes!)
• camp shovel - for those desperate attempts to dig out your burried differential
• Set of 2-way radio's, for communication during towing, un-stucking, or wheelin'
• tool-box with basic hand tools, a spare serpentine belt, lubricant, thread-lock, gloves, and fuses
• compact air-compressor/inflator/flashlight

 

Hi-Lift Jack (the big one)
Two 3", 30', 30,000# straps
MileMarker 12,000# Winch
50,000# Clevices (got a few)
Full Size Stanley Shovel (15 yr warranty)
Big Axe (from wal-mart)
Come-A-Long (pretty big one)

that's what I've got on the f250.

same stuff for the ranger, except delete the winch.

 

i had stuff, but alot of it was broke, bent destroyed the last time i went wheeling so i need to buy stonger stuff.

 

that and a few straps and ****** block

 

none...but should probably invest...

 

I always wheeled with friends who had straps untill yesterday, when no one had thiers, and I got stuck bad, So i decided to pony up and buy some straps

 

i usually go with people with straps at least...but i dont even have tow hooks...

 

My 'recovery gear' is operated by the left-hand lever..
