the truck is just too slow. too gutless.
so for now, im going to get into my dream car, and as soon as its paid off, i will probably pick up a newer taco 4 door long bed.

I take it you are going for a WS6?
Ive ridden in a SS LS1 with some SLP parts on it but compared to a 00+ mustang the stang just rides better and wont beat the **** out of you on long trips. But atleast you are going for the LS1, when it comes time for me to get a car if I cant get my hands on a 03-04 Termi Ill be looking for a LS1 camaro, or TA.
and since people are posting up times, Ive only gone down the 1/8th mile at 10.6 with my 87 perf tune. I did an online calculator for the 1/4 and it said I was right around 16 seconds... not too bad for a little 3.0... Ive been trying to get out to the track againa dn try out the 93 octane and Ill have some more goodies on there by then :D

well motor wise, its all stock, which is a huge plus.
so i'd probably start with just a lid and exhaust. then some headers. then heads and cam eventually. but it'll be more then fast enough without heads and a cam. and maybe, eventually, after i get rid of the 10 bolt rear end, i might get curious and go forced induction lol
but speaking of termi cobras, id LOVE to have one. seeing as how thats my fav body mustang. but they're far and few between here. and expensive. so thats out

sounds you are off to a good start.
Termis are so awesome, Id sell all my kidneys, my two legs (Ill just shove to planks of wood into my numbs to drive lol) and who knows what. That is my favorite body too, but they are not too terribly expensive... but well worth it. Most I have found are going for $26K with less than 50,000 miles on them. Just the sound of that supercharger.... aaa the sound that sex makes when all the syncros are aligning just right.... I mean... uuhhh.... they are just awesome and id do anything for one except sell the ranger, its paid off and its reliable

Just don't expect much out of the interior and make sure you get a dash pad for the Fbody.
Not a fan of the Trans Am, favorite LS car has to be the SLP Trim SS, or just a regular SS. Just have that clean look.
Go for a SLP lid, if you can fab up true duals you won't regret it, and headers. All of that with a tune and you will be very capable on the street.

and the one im looking at, the interior is in perfect condition. looks like it was never even sat in. not one scuff, tear, and hardly any wrinkles in the leather. i honestly would think the car has never been driven if it didnt have 80k miles on it.
and yeah, true duals and a tune are allllll part of the plan :)
just gotta learn how to launch that 6 spd lol
