Ranger days coming to an end...for now

Andy's sorta talked about maybe tradin his truck before in other threads and to me.
I personally think you should finda better Jeep Andy.
The best years are the YJ years, 89-95 i believe exactly. They are square headlight jeeps(which isa plus, you buy new headlights at Napa for 15 bucks each) . You would prolly be happy in getting an inline 4 jeep. Then swap in a 350 engine from any chevy(find a caprice! they're the police chevies!) and maybe some bigger axles. I know a few examples of stocky axles locked front and back!.
If you get a jeep pick up a dodge neon or honda civic for like, 2k. I know they're cheap cause even in Alaska I can find em dirt cheap!

I'd love to hear the logic of how buyin a few K car plus payin insurance + gas beats the price of gas. Maybe over the next 5-10 years, depending on how much economy.
Have you ever thought to stop ur drug habits? The cocaine? weed?
And also, prostitutes aren't needed dude. Sometimes after a good date, a girl will do that stuff for free.
Maybe you should ask your parents for direction! Explain to them that it's getting hard to afford ****. For all you know they'd take your ranger so you might still be able to use 'er.

and then get minimal insurance on the beater, just enough to be legal you dont need the beater replaced. as long as he has a clean driving record it will drop significantly.
I'm sure he can find stuff around his house to sell to get the 500- 1,500 to buy the beater. and with a civic he should only have to fill up once a week at most. the gas saved right there covers the truck payment

What you should do is take the big *** tires off your truck. Get it back to stock or close to it. How much offroading do you do that makes it worth it to have them. (yest they look kick *** but what other benefits are there). Another thing to look into is shopping around for insurance. I had State Farm for the wife and I and over 2 years it went up a few dollars every few months to the point where it got to $272 a month for the both of us. Im now saving almost $100 a month by switching to Allstate with the same coverage.
You will spend money on repairs on an older car. Its a fact of life.
The mileage on a jeep 4.0 wont be much better than what you get in a 4x4 ranger.
Are you working? If not why not looking into a job to help out. Its amazing how much free time you have in college.
If you spend $1500-2k on a car you also have to insure it and pay for gas on it. So you are paying less on gas, more on insurance, upkeep on another car and insurance on the truck(you have to have it since you have a lienholder).
So in short my opinion is to get some smaller tires and get the mileage back to where you need to be. Or sell the truck and get something (newer used) like a focus or civic where you are getting 30 mpg.
