Ranger featured in 4 Wheel Drive and Sport Utility Magazine

Hi All,

I just thought that I would drop a note to let everyone know that my 2000 4X4 Stepside Ranger is being featured in the April 2009 issue of 4 Wheel Drive & Sports Utility Magazine. Copies should be on the news stand as I am writing this. If you get a chance, browse the article and let me know what you think.

I don't currently have the ability to scan the article, but I would assume that the magazine's web page will carry the article once it is updated for the current issue. The web page often carries many of the feature stories. The web page is www.4wdandsportutility.com/

Congrats. I'll keep a look out for it.

I had my old B2200 featured in MiniTruckin Magazine last year.

It is not in the reader's ride section, it is on the inside cover and also has a 3 page feature writeup. As for how I got into the magazine, I guess it is all about who you know. I met up with an old friend of mine who is an assistant editor for 4WD&SU magazine and a contributing editor for Off-Road magazine for a trail run in Sedona late last year. While we were out he did a photo shoot and later informed me that he would be doing a writeup on my truck. Since it is not a Jeep it is pretty cool to get noticed.

The RCD was a part of it, since it definitely improves the offroad performance of the truck. The article, actually focuses on how difficult it is to build up a Ranger since there is little aftermarket support. The article also discusses my search for sliders, addition of a custom front light bar/grill guard, and bed rack.

Hopefully someone will read that article and MAYBE help the aftermarket support....

but I doubt it...

I think an article needs to be done on Beards truck. That thing is built so much better than alot of the rides featured in off road rags
