Ranger happiness?

I have to love it. I traded a loaded 4.3 S10 for a basic 2.3L Ranger. Of course, the Ranger had less miles, looked nicer, and don't have tranny problems like the S10 did. But my friend who hates Ford wanted the S10. I think I got the better end of the deal, so does he. He thinks im a tard for trading a Chevy for a Ford, but of course... I'm still driving the Ranger while that S10 is rotting in a junk yard after he fnished off the tranny.
So what if I get laughed at because its slow, has a flowmaster with the 2.3 and it has lettering on the windshield with almost no visual mods. I get better gas mileage than all them folks that laugh.... Generally id rather be seen in my truck too...
I would rather push a Ranger than drive a Chevy.

Yeah but it's a full size vs a mini truck. The F150 is a lot more truck than a Ranger. The 4wd doesn't really matter at this point because the 2wd F150 weighs more than my 4wd Ranger.

I'll start. I wish I didn't get my truck, after owning it for a few months I really am not sure why I got a truck. I wanted a truck because I wanted to eventually get a small boat or something. With fuel prices the way they are thats not gonna be happening any time soon. On top of that the truck is slowwww, and doesn't get the best mileage either, and can't go offroading in the Florida muck with my 1wd on 33's either. What I really wish is that I got a Volkswagen, I like the cars, I like the style, I like most of the people who own them, I just click with the cars and owners (nothing against the people here obviously). My truck is up for trade now. [/semirant]
How do you guys feel about your trucks?

Yeah, most of us like or love Ranger's, that's why we are here and own or owned one. Needs and wants change and so does what we drive because of that. Nothing wrong with it at all. I don't care what anyone says, practicality and comfort becomes important as you get older, especially once you get married and have a family. The new Explorer's look like they will be nice.

If it's paid off and not worth all that much then it doesn't make sense to sell it. As for me, my Ranger was paid off and I sold it for $18,500. So it didn't make sense not to sell it, especially since I was able to get the money back I spent on mods and have an assigned take home work vehicle.

It's actually interesting reading back on old posts that you don't remember. Like last week someone brought back an old thread and I LOL'd when I read my response from July.
