2009 Ranger with 4.0 OHV motor?
I was browsing the ford website, and I saw that the 4.0 motor is listed as a OHV for the new 2009 ranger?
Am I blind/is it a mistake? (must be because if you go on the regular page, not the Build and Price, it is a SOHC)
And you wonder why they are in the hole
Here is the link

I know this would probably be considered sacrilegious, but have you ever driven a Toyota tundra? with the 4.7 or a 5.7?
My parents have one, and let me tell you, that thing is ***** to the wall.
But i agree, there should have been a 5.0 ranger. Or at least a more powerful 4.0

Yeah i respect your opinion.
Now did you drive the newer model ones? or was it the older 01-06 era? the size and weight of these are significantly different, with no power train change (4.7 to 4.7). I agree tho, they have an issue with the tailgate. Anyways, i enjoyed driving it, and yes i will keep my Ranger

Hey my ranger was built in the USA and my new F-150 was built in the USA.
As for the other part no I have not. And I don't plan to. Like I said I think they build good cars and should stick to that. Unless you can show me on of their V8's that has over 300k on the original motor and has lived a hard life then I'll stick to the tried and true.
How many 4.3's, 350's, 302's, 351's, 427's are still out there running strong? We have the quality in our trucks.
On a side note, no truck by any manufacture is going to have "quality" if all you do is beat the **** out of it off road. Not saying you do, but many others do then cry the truck is crap.
Sorry, I just got done arguing this whole thing over dinner at Texas Road House. Then I seen it here and was like WTF! So I didn't mean to turn it into a pissing match.
