what should i buy?

either a xl 2 wheel drive 5-speed manual ranger single cab thats good on gas or a new 07 fx off road supercab ranger? thinking of that little 4banger would be good for shooting around town and as a second car or go with a 4x4 that ill only use for maybe 2 months? i like the off road rangers and level2 but those little xl rangers are pretty cool in maybe dark shadow gray color. my 88 mazda 4 cyclinder 5-speed has plenty of power for daily driver. thanks.

depends on your driving habits. a 4x4 has better traction in snow/ sand/ off roading, a 2wd is better gas mileage, a 4x4 costs more, a 4x4's insurance will be higher, etc... think about the pro's and con's between each type of truck. then after all is said and done, go buy your new truck!

I say the new 4x4, but which ever is going to be more praticle(I personally would still lean toward the 4wd.)

i just need a small truck thats good on the gas. scooting around town like i do after work and weekends with a 4x4 isnt going to get good mileage? im in my work van most of the day and that thing isnt good on gas. so after im home i just want a good solid little 4 banger to get me from point a to point b?. those little xl's are pretty cool if you ask me. i like the beige one with the stick. perfect for my kind of driving.

go with better gas milage..nothing wrong with a single cab..i got one..less stuff to throw back there lol..4x4 insurance is higher...less money u gotta spend is better..then u can buy other stuff instead of spending the extra hundreds you will save per year/month's...but a 4x4 would be nice..i would choose a 4x4 and sacrafice the con's lol and work another job lol..but hey thats just me
