Support Foreign Trade, Keep US Unemployment & Poverty high....Removed by Redranger4.0 Racism is not allowed here
Prices and Payments are low on foreign crap because in 6 months youll be out of a job becasue by spending 20k on a Yota, VW, Mitusubishi, etc. you cut American Jobs and just put more foreigners to work no matter what anyone says, and youll be able to scratch up enough for a truck payment.
Keep unenployment low, buy american

I don't want to hear"well, the Tacoma(just an example) is made in America" I don't care. The money from the sale of that truck goes directly overseas and is invested in another country's market, not ours. Whether it be cars, clothes or whatever, we have a North American Free Trade Agreement. The American dollar continues to crumble in foreign markets and it has finally taken it's toll. I dont want to hear any of that unemployment crap, there are MILLIONS of jobs out there. That's like you saying you dont buy crap that was made in china or even overseas at that- look at every peripheral on your computer.. where was it made? Go ahead, look at your clothing... where was it made? So by buying the keyboard you are typing on, the monitor that you are viewing this post on, the mouse you are using.. you YOURSELF are supporting (in your terms) the ongoing "unemployment" here in the US due to job outsourcing. Welcome to our Economy.

Seriously, I am a member of several forums, Some I frequent because of the people, some I just check in when I need a question answered, this is the former. None of the others seem to be this pissy about former owners and enthusiasts who are between vehicles right now, or moved on to something newer or different. Sure they might bust some ***** over it, but it is all in fun.
I still own a ranger based vehicle, but even if I didn't I'd still be here. I like this place and the people involved. I like rangers. I have had several over the years. Maybe I have something to offer? Maybe not, but as long as I follow the rules if you don't like what I post, there is the Ignore button. feel free to use it.
Oh and unemployment in this country is at historic lows, as well as the stock market is setting new records on a monthly basis, if this is a downward spiral, I'll take it.

subscribing so I can read D's multiple quote responses.
I went through this with Underdog. I get e-mails from guys wanting f-150, mustang, etc etc parts. The minute I start selling/listing Mustang parts is the minute I'm no longer an exclusive sales site to Rangers. The same could apply with the forums. So many businesses and forums get lost trying to be everything for everybody. Once there is a section for other makes, you kind of lose that part that made you special to begin with.

Sorry Granit guy, I've had my say on a simular topic before. I was informed it was a ' community '. If thats what the site owner wants.. Its HIS site.
If you want my personal opinion.. this isn't a ' Ranger-forums ', but its NOT my site. We are here at the owners liesure. If we don't like it.. we know how to leave.
I have realised theres a ' Twit-filter ' for the site. You can block anyone you want. All you have to do is add a member name to it. If someone buys rice and glotes about it.. more power to them, their message isn't heard. The same can be applied to the rants I make.. its a tool and there for everyone to use.
Theres several posts in this thread alone I didn't see and probably won't care to.
Probably a shocking answer for most reading this responce, but why should I care about some Rice or Kraut owners views or input when I have completely rebuilt my own ride twice now? What are they gonna offer me outside of banter? Are any of them capable of doing the custom fabrication of my wiring harness for my new engine? Do any of them have the measurements needed to mill my scater shield for a Liberty5 Tranny for my new engine? I've noticed the die-hard modders either went with a Jeep or still have their Rangers. Not too many of the truly knowledge having individuals have given up on their trucks yet.
I do feel a section for ' other brands ' would be nice, but its a form of segregation. I don't care for the alledged gloting of the new-rice owners whom have traded in their Rangers.. BUT.. the site owner says were to accept being preeched down to by Taco owners and accept them as part of the ' Community '. Again, if we don't like it.. we know where the door is.
I just use the filter and leave it as such, keeps the peace and when I need info, its provided by those whom still have their Rangers. Very easy concept to grasp. Some might say I would ' miss out '. If I do, *MY* loss and no complaints for it as it was my choosing.
I would suggest the same for others. If they feel someone always banters now that they have sold-off their ranger, toss them in the filter. You won't hear/see their comments anymore and the problem is resolved. If people cry, too bad. Pay for your bantering.
This site won't cater to the minority of folks ( by numbers alone ) complaining about past-owners defimating Rangers. It would be a waste of their time and resources and a pain for the moderators in general ( Wow.. I'm even sticking up for the moderators! It ain't even Christmas! Wait.. I'm a Jew.. Hmm.. whatever :) ) with censorship. Something nobody wants on a collective body.
To anyone whom doesn't want to hear Yota owners , Put them in the filter. All you have left are ' Ranger Owners '. You might miss out on certian things, but you will have your wish with no complaints.

Scott, you want them front fender flares?
Anyways, ill always own atleast one ford. I started out with a mazda, that was built esle where (not in american, and not owned by ford at the time) Dont get me wrong, it was a nice car, 25MPG on average, and ok, tho, 9 distributors, 2 transmissions, an alternator, 3 exhaust systems in 3 years, kinda turned me off to foriegn ****. I was on my way down to Zoar Valley for the day, a really nice area for hiking and the alternator blew out... ugh that car was nothing but a friggin money pit.
Tho it set my standards, I first started lookin at explorer sports - the new ones, the design change in 01... well used ones, but then came my ranger, and i fell in love with it Im glad I have it, its got almost everything I want (wish it had atleast 4doors cause im fat) but other than that its what I could afford, and I have made good use of it. taco was WAY out there on price and they would not negotiate at all, hell the people over at yota wouldnt even let me test drive a taco... i went to 3 different dealers , same response: you cant afford it, so why do you want to test drive it? that was there response, and Dodge and chevy sales people were the same way, tho, the inline 5 on the colorado was a bit of a turn off, and the interiors werent as nice.... heres the major reasons for my ranger:
hasnt changed in 20 yrs = lots of parts available.
small, easy to park, compared to the boat that the F150 is.
easy on the eyes
its made by ford, itll last forever.
cheap.
im not so much for really what make u drive, whatever floats ur boat. however I do appreciate american cars more than foreign cars only cause the money hopefully stays here...
someone stated theres lots of jobs in the country, please show me where, and will u be a kind fellow, and sponsor thousands of people to move so they can get these 'millions of jobs'?
ANyways, Christian says its a community. this is the best forum i have ever been on, even tho some mods can be a lil pushy, overall, this is the best forum on the internet. and to lose a person who helps make this forum what it is just cause he drives a taco, to me, is kind of a waste..

I try, but I really don't feel bad for people who work sh!tty labor jobs and then lose them to other countries whose citizens work sh!tty labor jobs. This is America dammit. You have the opportunity to make your life into anything you want, the only thing that can hold you back is YOU. So these guys make stupid mistake after stupid mistake and the only job they can get is working a mine or a mill, and I am supposed to feel bad for them? Yeah right, they will get my Hallmark sympathy card right after I send one out to everyone in the prisons.
My pops who never went to college and worked retail selling shoes since he was 15 worked his way up to store manager of 7 of the original foot lockers got job offers from other companies and eventually became District manager for the largest district in Fl of Payless shoes, only to be downsized out of a job. with 4 people living off of a teachers salary, he managed to get his commercial real estate license and made just over $400k in 2006. He bought my moms brand new Maxima and himself a Sport Trac Adrenaline with cash all up front, Put down 100K for retirement and went wild with renovations to our house.
So if losing a crap job is the kick in the pants that these people need to take advantage of all the opportunities of this country, so be it

Why would economics have anything to do with the question "is this ranger-forums?"
If you currently own a Ranger then this site is for you.
If you have owned a Ranger in the past then this site if for you.
If you are planning to own a Ranger then this site is for you.
Fairly simple, yes? Why complicate the issue with foreign vs. domestic and unemployment? Does it really matter if someone decides to sell their Ranger for another make/model?
I don't think it does. As it has already been said, needs change. However, I think most, if not everyone, found this site because of the three things I stated above. There's no need to take a sh*t on them because they drive something different now. They are still here because they are "ranger enthusiasts" and still have something to offer to other "ranger enthusiasts." As for the supposed "Rangers suck, buy Tacomas" crowd, like D. said, block them. Can't say I really notice a lot of that sort of talk though. Seems to me that everyone is on this site because of their affinity for Rangers.
Cheers,
D.

its hard to find a job that you actually enjoy and like.
so if they lose the job they love doing, they will have to resort to doing something they dont like doing. What if someone took your job away that you enjoyed doing?,i doubt you will be having that same attitutude.Im not trying to cause a argument bwester,I respect you,I just have a different view i guess
