get you an old toothbrush and then mix some baking soda and water together brush it on there and then rise it off, i think u can go to auto zone and get this paint on stuff that is suppost to help prevent that

Yes red tops are great.
But if you are unable to get em, Go to autozone and get some Battery Terminal Cleaner. Spray it on your connections and let it foam up really good. Then let it sit for about 30 seconds, Scrub the corrosion off with a wire brush, and then Wash off with water, Dry the terminals and then Get some Battery Terminal Protector. It will help save the life of the battery as well, being as the Corrosion is actually showing you that your batter is dieing slowly.

The back part of the battery shows wet and also crossive top termail post. Also the battery looks like it is expanded from the top and it's possible that the battery is overcharging due to faulty voltage regulator or altornator or both!!

Ill have pics tomorrow of the swap, and maybe ill find something else to throw on the truck.

You can buy felt discs from autozone for 99 cents that are supposed to prevent the corrosion build up.

They dont Micheal. They come with a battery Terminal Lubricant that is just a waste of money. I tried them when I installed a new batter on my ranger. Don't waste your money IMO
