Do most people just use the Gentex mirrors if they don't want the OHC?

I hate to dredge up an old conversation but does anyone have the info on this mirror? I don't want to add the OHC but I would like a mirror with those same feature. Search feature didn't turn up what I'm looking for.

Most of the guys on here get the auto dimming mirror, wiring, and temperature sensor out of an old explorer....Here is the link from the "How-To" section of this site on how to do this mod.....https://www.ranger-forums.com/forum2...ead.php?t=7112

Ordered it, received it, installed it in about an hour. Now I can tell which direction I'm driving (which comes in VERY handy when using Mapquest!) and what the outside temp is. The auto-dimming feature will take some time to get used to (or maybe I'll just turn it off) but the mirror is MUCH better than stock. I never could get the stock mirror positioned to show me everything behind me because the top part of the sliding rear window was always in the way. This one (using the original wedge mount) clears the rear glass.
Very pleased with the new mirror. :) Thanks again!
