Ranger to the Rescue

Ranger to the Rescue
A couple of months ago I was mountain lion hunting in the Navajo Nation. Snow was a foot deep in the flats and over knee deep in the hills. Two friends were hunting with me and both were driving 3/4 ton Chevy 4 wheel drive pickups. Temperatures were in the 40s in the day so snow was melting and the roads were a wreck. My buddies buried the Chevys over 15 times while I only hung up once for perhaps 10 minutes.
Both Chevys were stuck, one right behind the other. The leader had slid off in a wash and was going nowhere. Finally, my son said, "Why don't you let Dad try to jerk you back upon the road with that Ranger?"
Long story short, I pulled him back upon the road with my first attempt. We had to follow the two Chevy a couple of miles back to the pavement as they buried in the mud five more times.
Adios,
Gary
