Modified truck definition

I raced a guy today NOT ON A STREET actual drag strip.
He was in a S10 extreme I drove my Ranger. I killed him wasnt even close. I think it may havebeen more driver than trucks.

We had bet $100.oo heads up After the race he was yelling and screming I cheated my truck was not 100% stock and said it wasnt even probbaly 40% stock

I told him all I had was a K&N intake & a axle swap with 4.10 gears

I gave him his money back casue I didnt want to hear him whine and cry.

Now with just those 2 things is my truck really moded to be classfied as a modified street truck Every suspension part is stock every engine part except the intake is stock.

The plug wires are motocraft plug wires and plugs

Heck no he's just a little boy that can't stand losing. You shouldn't have given him his money back.

Well technically the intake and gears would make the truck modified. I'm my opinion it not really moded.

I would have kept the cash and told him you and your truck suck.

I envision "modified" cars/trucks [meant for racing] as in having engine work (internals, etc), with modified suspension. That guy was full of ****, I wouldve just taken the money- You obviously won fair and square.

Same story when I beat my buddies hemi. He pitched a fit that I jumped the line when I wasn't paying attention and was looking at his back door before I hit the gas. It may have been the driver, but you still won take the money and tell him to go pound sand!

In my mind the gears just put the truck back to what my truck was stock befor ethe 31" tires

he claims it helps me go faster by making the wheels turn faster.

I think ill challenge him again and give him 2 links since I beat him by probbaly 10

I know that's right. Especially after he gave it to you. I would of told him that if he wanted it back he'd have to win it back!!

Alot of rangers came stock with 4:10 gears so I wouldnt even count that...

Even so he was being a baby about it. He should have raced if he didnt want to risk loosing his money.

Wow, that dude is retarded. You don't make a bet, lose it, then say it was unfair. Once you accept a bet, it's over. Win, or pay up.

Oh, and your truck is stock, his is just a Chevy, and thats why he's mad.

In my opinion, you race heads up, its on you to find out as much as you can about that vehicle. I would taken that $100 and let him cry a river. Sorry to say, but he got you for that one. He ever look under your hood? You race someone headsup, its on you do to the homework, and if you lose money on it...too bad.

Sorry but you've been had by that guy. I woulda laughed as i stuck that $100 in my wallet. Many times it is about the driver. I raced a supercharged mustang 5.0 with some other mods against my 'Cuda. At the track, 110% fair and square. No money, just tons of bragging rights. First time i beat him, second time he redlighted and i STILL beat him. His CAR had the speed, he couldn't do it...i knew that going to the track and left him twice....all part of the game. :D

And to whomever claims 'street light' wins...just don't talk too much. WAY too many variables to be talking smack about, winning or losing. Take it to the track and go at it. Actually racing on the street isn't only stupid, just highly inconsistant and causes more excuses than you know what to do with.

Ill see what happens today at work

Ill challenge him again. In the end he will be pressured to race again by the 2 other people who were there. Next time more will come once they here about it today

He never looked under my truck I just told him what I had done to it

He just recently got this truck. I have seen all around it when he first got it when he was showing it off. It was all stock.

I wouldn't have given him his money back. I woulda told him that this was one of life's little lessons and if he wasn't prepared to lose he shouldn't have started. But that's just me:) I wouldn't have said SH*^ about what I had or hadn't done to my truck. I would race him again.
