Awesome! Another one of those guys that I rarely get to bash on because they are just that. Rare.

This is a direct quote from you. Judging by your grammar, all I could discern was that you actually called teh rear solid axle "springs"

The rear solid axle is NOT called "springs" as slang by ANY mechanic I know.

Your pictures also prove how much you really do know about the front end of trucks.

If you want to try to prove your point, go for it, but as others have said:

Are you smoking some of that BC weed? One is a Torsion bar setup (bottom) and the other is coil sprung . . . what in the hell are you not understanding here?

Please don't act like such a smart *** either, it only makes everyone want to bash your head in, plus you are obviously not smart enough to make a point of anything.

3.0 doesnt weigh that much more than the 2.3 maybe a hundred pounds if that buddy

3.0 does not have any different suspension than a 2.3 unless its a sport/edge/trailhead if you even know what one of those are.

Being taller if its an edge has nothing to do with the gas mileage the 3.0 just sucks at gas mileage.. Both coil sprung and torsion bar suspensions they both will suck at gas mileage.

Oh and they discontinued the 4 bangers in an ext cab for a couple years and brought it back out in 07 so thats why you dont see to many, and for your information since you seem to think you know it all, 2000+ 2.3 ext cabs did not exist before 06 or 07 because back in 2000 they were using 2.5 in rangers.

But back to what you have no clue about there is no suspension difference between a 2wd coil sprung 2.3 and a 2wd coil sprung 3.0.

There is a difference between the coil sprung trucks and torsion bars, in the front obvious coil springs vs torsion bars and in the back the torsion bar trucks have 2 inch blocks and the 2wd xlt's do not have any but there is nothing heavy duty about blocks in the rear the lef packs or "springs" are the same.

hell you dont even know the difference between the 2 trim levels and the 2 suspension types.

maybe you should stick to putting plastic chrome all over your truck and thinking its cool.

When compared 2.3 XLT to 3.0 XLT or equal models they will be identical, quit arguing this and just accept it, it's fact. The weight difference as said about 400x in this thread is minimal. I dought you weighed each but if you did the difference was cause by options, windows, locks, A/C, seats, carpet, axle size, spare tire, transmission or cargo in the truck.
im not educated on older vheicles ive always had new since i was 16 im now 20
PS - You type like you're 6.

nice obsolete truck again im not comparing a 2008 2.3 to a 1998? 3.0 like you did in your...driveway?

2008 2.3 vs 2008 3.0 = big weight diffrence

plus most 3.0 owners who complain have a cab that also adds to weight diffrence. between my sport supercab 3.0 and a 2.3 xl is ALMOST the same diffrence as a 4.0 2wd and 4.0 4wd

The pictures you posted were not even good.

Try turning the camera so you can see it along with putting a tape measure so we can see the difference.

To me they look the same

2008 Ranger
3.0 supercab 4x2 coil sprung 5-speed = 3,210
2.3 supercab 4x2 coil sprung 5-speed = 3,210

Ford lists them as both having the same shipping

Are you THAT RETARDED?

Do I have to quote myself?

I never said that rear axle LEAF SPRINGS are fake, you ****ing blubbering retarded dip ****! I KNOW THEY ARE THERE! BUT YOU WEREN'T TALKING ABOUT THE REAR SUSPENSION UNTIL PEOPLE STARTED CORRECTING YOU ON YOUR RETARDEDNESS!

Mods, I do apologize for my bashing, but this kid, IMO, deserves it.

Bud, if you got anything else you want to try to prove, go ahead and PM me. But don't put words in my mouth that I never said.

true but in the course of its long lifetime it could have been a rebuild or modified(i see it already is) so its not a reliable example

you are so lost....you are comparing a 2.3 COIL SPRUNG to a 3.0 TORSION BAR!!
that's apples to oranges

if you don't know anything about rangers or vehicles in general, don't act like you do. Just ask us and someone here will inform you of the correct facts
