roof cab light

hey i was wondering if anyone had a picture of a ranger with cab roof lights, i am thinking about getting the smoked light kit but wana see what it will loook like first

never seen it my buddy had a ranger with the roof visor and it had those lights on it. it look cool

i think he is talking about the winshield visors that screw in with the yellowish lights on them?? i think

ya like the super duty ford trucks have, i didnt know if it could be done or if it would look good. i dont want the huge lights and the ones i have been looking at are smoked so they will blend in with my truck (metallic gray)

Sounds like a cool idea, anything can be done with the right fabrication. Don't know of anybody who's done it though.

ya those cab lights they have kits for them you have to drill holes in your roof and mount them there acully not that hard to do

Clearance lights is the official name. Doesn't require the sun visor, you just need to measure out and install them nicely or it will leak and look like hell.

yea theyre clearence lights, theyre worthless on a ranger unless your Treff but theyd look cool

Well yea, it wouldn't have much of a functional purpose other than looks.

I put them on my 94 Ranger there actually Chevy/GMC clearance lights
i had a friend who worked at a dealership parts dept so i got them at employee cost, it involved cuttimg holes in the roof a center hole and two screw holes, not for the faint of heart, and a lot of mockup time to make sure they where perfectly lined up plus running the wires under the headliner and down the pillar so theres some work involved, i also put a small amount of clear silicone sealant to maker sure no leaks, never did.

Its not that clear its a scanned pic no dig back then

I think they look good on any truck, my friend Phil(the ford tech) has installed them on trucks did not come with them, he made a tamplate and sealed them good, the truck never came back for repairs that I know of. It can be done.

I think they look great on the moon visor and ok on just the roof. Just doesn't look right for some reason.

ya i have seen a bunch on the visor but i dont want a visor, i guess its something im gonna have to really think about and want cuz theres not turning back once u cut into your roof . thanks for the imput and picture

i think it looks good on big trucks, or lifted trucks, but not just stock height ,smaller trucks
