2006 Ranger: EDGE still exists!!!

From Tenacity21, a person who works at the Ranger plant. He talks about there are '06s out on the lot sitting right now w/ the black covers on them. It looks as though they decided to not use the old Sport name they used in the 90's and decided to use the EDGE name instead. I think I'll have to buy me a set of those taillamps for my ranger. He took a few pics, but here's the only one he posted:

he also said in 07 the ranger will be axed...who knows...
side note, saw ford is REALLY hurting. but then in my petersons they are testing the market for the Boss Hoss F-350...aimed to take on the Power Wagon and H2...maybe the 06 Fusion will bail Ford out and bring the domestic car market back into the blue oval.

I think the Ranger could really be competitive again if Ford just gave it a chance and actually put some work into it. Why they are neglecting the Ranger and wasting time and money on things like the Freestyle I just don't get. I'm worried they will replace the Ranger with some SUT...which considering the poor sales of the Sport Trac doesn't make much sense.
The Fusion is a nice car, but I think it will have the same fate as the Contour.
