Battery replacement:Bigger problem then I thought...
When I first picked up my Ranger about a year ago, there was 0 battery cable/terminal corrosion. It couldn't get any cleaner. Sense then, I installed a system and a CB...getting power straight from the battery. There was a cheap brand battery in the truck when I got it. Well, about 6 months ago I noticed some BAD corrosion on the battery terminals and cable leads. I addressed that problem with some baking soda and vinegar. I also put some vasaline on the terminals to prevent further corrosion.
About three months ago, I climbed into the truck after it sitting for 5-6 days, and the battery was dead. I've been battling with it threw the winter, it starting some days, and some not. It finally completely pooped out on me yesterday so I went to Vatozone and picked up a Duralast gold top. I figured i'd probably go ahead and replace the cable leads as well. I picked up a set similar to these:

It was a project getting the old ends off. They were so corroded, I couldn't budge the bolts. So I had to cut them off, and put the new ends on. In doing so, I was forced to cut the CB Pos/Neg wires along with my amp power cord.
So, with all that being said...I have two questions for you all.
1. I did a brief search on replacing battery cables, and didn't come up with anything. What kind of project is it? Any writeups I missed?
2. Anyone know any connectors I can buy to connect power back to my CB and Amp from the battery? I mean, I had some little C connectors with my old setup, but there is no where to connect them at on these new connectors. Or does anyone else have any suggestions on where to hook up to to power these accessories.
Thanks

Those battery terminals aren't that great, sorry to say.
I've been using these battery terminals for years & I wouldn't look at anything less.
Plenty of options for several size wires & you can modify the openings if they're not large enough for your needs... like I did with mine.
If you run out of places to attach the wiring like I did, you can add ring terminals to the mounting bolt.
I've got a couple extra sets in gold & a set in a silvery platinum finish if you're interested, drop me a PM.

Definitely a nice setup. As I was "fixing" my current issue, I already had the thought going through my head that it is just a temporary fix. I just need it to get me by for a bit, then I will put some real TLC into it. I can't say it will be as nice as yours, but I'm going to clean mine up a bit.
And my clamps aren't quite as crappy as the link I posted, but the aren't nearly as nice as yours. I will keep you in mind and maybe take you up on that offer when I decide to re-do mine. You gave me some great ideas.
