the danger rangers strong.. for a 4banger

Perhaps the 4-door was an Aveo? Not saying it wouldn't be a strain on the truck, but I know my 4cyl pulled a 2,210 lb auto transport (empty) nearly 100 miles up and down some pretty big hills, with O/D turned off, and I hardly even noticed the trailer.

then when you get in a car accident and kill someone because your brakes can't safely slow you down, or the trailer thats heavier and longer then your teeny truck spins around on you, you'll get hit for manslaughter because you overloaded the vehicle. But really cool on the tow...get a bigger truck...

except he has a older 2.3

i'm with the haters, you should be more careful about towing or hauling with your four banger. fines are hefty and god forbid something bad happen. do you really want that incident with you for the rest of your life?
just because you didn't hava any problems doesn't mean it's safe.
if you have to tow it again (looks like it from you post) use a dolly. right there saves you a ton of weight.
just curious, what kind of 4 door chev was it? they made a ton of four door models.

My 99 Ranger 3.0 xlt 4x4 offroad 4:10 and 33's, tows just as good if not better than my old 99 F150, 5.4 XLT sport 4x4, x-cab, or my moms old 01 Ram 1500, 5.9 4x4 offroad x-cab.
The boat weighs in at just under 10k with full tanks and 2 motor
Full tanks include- 250 gallons of fuel and 85 gallons of water
Boat specs, 27ft twin merc 250 outboards
My truck, 3.0, 4:10's with 33's, I have trailer brakes, and lots of towing experience.

Just because you CAN doesn't mean you SHOULD.
I towed about 6500 pounds with my truck twice, and I will never do it again, and I was no where If I had to stop quick in an emergency.....it wouldn't have happened. I would have piled straight through what ever I was avoiding. And help me God if I had to swerve to avoid anything.
Your brakes are not meant to stop that much load. Yeah you can get going but stopping isnt going to be the same.

If you aren't going to equip your truck with trailer brakes, and tow around a 10K pound trailer with a 2 ton car on it, then you're an idiot.
Hopefully you have a good medical payout on your insurance.
