Day running Lights

Is there anyway to get the day running lights to work on the ranger without having to install some mod? I see the spot on the fuse panel for fog/ day running lights. But it doesn't look like thier is any wires hooked in. Also it looks as if there is fog light hookups in the wiring harness but no fog lights.

all american sold rangers do not have daytime running lights you'll have to go to the dealer if you want some installed.

There is an optional dealer installed accesory that is Daytime Running Lights. No clue what years it applies to, but it's in the accesory catalog. Canada is DRL's mandatory.

You can do one of those webelectric module things that make your signals into DRLs....a mod i'm doing soon.

I didn't have to install anything other than the module itself, my Ranger was prewired. I did however modify it so my driving lamps are the DRL's. I'd rather have a driving lamp bulb go out than a headlamp. The grill lamps are no longer tied in.

Here in Canada, most auto stores sell a DLR module for $30, almost direct plug and play, the box says 30 minutes install time, so can't be that much work to do. Might want to try to contact a Canadian vendor. I can easily see this being a $500 dealership item.
