(hmm, more seriously it could have to do with your clockspring. I feel like mine was making related noises before it broke

weird.

have you done anything to the steering colum lately? took of covers off to fix/replace internals or replaced anything in the engine bay like a joint or anything on the R&P?

sounds like a spring bending in a way it doesn't want to.

mine makes a clicking sound when i turn the wheel with the blinker on. but that is a pre-01 issue with some silver plates or something in the wheel.

its your ball joints. happened to mine about 2 months ago. it squeaks when you are physically turning the weel correct?
