Should I go with gold antifreeze
Forgive me if this has been addressed elsewhere. I have a 08 2.3, any advice on whether to stay with the original type gold or go with the universal green antifreeze? The gold is not readily available in my area.

i just used the universal green prestone in mine. if you have any issues with it call prestone and ***** at them for not making it universal enough for the most common light truck on the planet.

whatever the truck came with which is probably the Motorcraft Premium Gold.

I just use whatever and have no problems.

If you go with a known brand I am not sure what it can screw up.

i used to use the prestone 50/50 with no problems in my 3.0 all the time.
