Wooden Bed Boards

ive never seen these for sale anywhere , I made a whole cradle for the bed of one of my old trucks that had commercial tags on it. I used treated wood for the pieces ( i used 2X6 and i actually made a three sided thing so that i could haul garbage with the truck. I helped a buddy make one a bit more custom that was pretty much for show. We took 2X4s and cut them to fit in the stake holes then got lag bolts to jold those in place.. we cut the 2X6 to the length we wanted then we figured out how we wanted the ends. we rounded the edges and then used a router with a 1/4 round bit to round off the tops on the upper pieces and we used a scroll saw to make the rounded ends. We used glavanized carriage bolts to attach the 2X6 to the pieces we made for the stake holes and we countersunk the bolts so we could fill in the holes with pieces of dowel. We then sanded the wood and stained it and then polyurethaned it.. if you want too you can use a dremel or a router to engrave a business name etc into these pieces and hand paint the carved out letters which is what we did with my old truck. It came out beautiful.. id post pics but unfortunately those pics disappeared after one of the moves. Make sure you use the proper screws and bolts if you decide to use treated wood
