The 3.0 is incredibly faster than the 2.3 also. I destroyed my friend in a 0-60ish race. He I was at a light and he was rolling up to it goin like 5-10mph and he got there right when it changed and he wasn't ahead for a second lol. Both 5spds. His is an 88.

 

i've had a 2.0 a 2.9. a 3.0 and now a 4.0. the 4.0 hauls a** compared to the 3.0.

 

alon i bet those 4.56s helped you off the like too

and yes the 3.0 is slow i have one and my 4.0 is the way better.

you need to race us NEW school guys, I can easily hold onto a 4.0 from 0-60 ... 65 and up I drop back a little, but I've never gone past 75 with one...

 

i drove sean's truck and it is slow! first time driving a 3.0.

ya alon lets do a drag meet

 

stock 3.0L autos suck. (period)
3.0L/stick against a 4.0L SOHC/auto is a little closer.. but still, 148hp/180tq against 207hp/238tq is a no brainer..
3.0L against 4.0L OHV is gonna be reeeeal close

 

When I had my 3.0, a strong wind could hold me to 75 haha, I'm so glad I upgraded

 

While looking at a ranger dad says: your getting the biggest engine they have in the ranger, you can thank me later... LOL! and thats what i got, the biggest engine., I have never drivin a 3.slow, but from the sounds of it, it sounds slow.

X2 I've owned both trucks and i could beat a 3.0 truck if I was driving in reverse on ice. While passed out drunk.

 

 

So what is 0-60 time for the 3.0 and 4.0? My 2.5 will do it in about 9 to 10 seconds.

 

who cares about speed... its a truck not a corvette.
