Seat covers for seats with side airbags

Just got my 2010 Sport a couple days ago. Looking for some seat covers that will work with the side airbags. The ones I have found so far are custom made and very pricey. Anybody found any that are affordable? Thanks.

we had a car come in the shop a short while ago that had a set of ed hardy seat covers. don't think they were really designed for air bags, but the bag still had enough force to blow the seat cover apart.

i'm not recommending getting one like that, but it may not effect the operation.

Thanks. Sounds like something I don't want to take a chance on. Found some nice ones @seatcoversusa.com, but they want $199 for two tone with the Ranger logo. They are custom made and supposed to be air bag compatible. Guess I better start saving!

Well I went ahead and ordered a set from seatcoversusa.com. Should have them in a couple weeks. I'll let you know how they work out.

Seat covers

Well I got my seatcovers today. Pretty nice. They come in 3 pieces and are made of a denim type material. They seem to be about as thick as a pair of jeans and fit pretty well. They also have the cutouts for the airbags which was a concern for me. Whats the point of having airbags if they aren't going to work right? A little pricey at $200, but if they save me from getting a coffee stain or something on my seats they will be well worth it. Also the $200 price is for 2 tone w/ embroiderd Ranger logo so you can get by a little cheaper.
Well I tried to post some pics but it just keeps saying file failed. Anybody? I thought I had them reduced down real small, but can't get them to upload.

i'm not completely sure where the ranger airbag deploys from, but 99% of cars that you can't see the airbag in the seats, deploys from the seam on the outer edge, not that far back. some cars the airbag is in a plastic housing that actually goes in over the cover, and they fall right where the hole in the cover is. if they were mine, i don't think i would be too happy with them.

check out this link. it's what i'm talking about.

Deuce, Charlotte is about 4 hours west of me. shouldn't be terrible come october, but probably not as nice as it is here on the coast!

I've checked them out pretty good, and I "think" they'll be OK. You can feel where the airbag is, and probably at least %95 of it is un-covered. Plus with the force these things deploy, I don't think that little bit of fabric is going to stop it. IDK. Hope I never need to find out right? I'd hate to see my shiny new little Ranger waded up! Oh yeah, then there's the whole "my safety" thing". Take care. 225
