Transmission wiring harness. What years are compatible ?

 

What year is yours?

From 1995 to about 2001 Rangers had 3 Main Harness's, Fleet, XL and XLT, each had extra wires for available options for that trim, all were Manual trans, Automatics had an added harness at clutch switch, and added wires for DTR and solenoids
In 2002 and up there were separate manual and automatic harness's also based on trim

1994 and earlier used the older computer so were way different

 

I have a 04 . long bed reg cab 3.0 manual. What harness would work

 

2004 was first year for Digital Rangers

So 2004 to 2006 Ranger 3.0l manual...............2WD?

 

Would a 2.3 harness work by chance????

 

I wouldn't think so, after 2001 the engine harness and transmission harness were the same harness, each engine specific and each Manual or Auto specifc
Before that the transmission harness plugged into the engine harness so was a separate harness, engine specific but all made for manual, Auto was an add on harness
