Headlight painting

Im nearing the painting part of my projector retro, and trying to decide what color(s) to paint them. There are 2 peices...the headlight housing, and the shroud, or bezel...whatever you want to call it. Im thinking about painting the housings flat black and the shrouds the color of my truck. Here is a quick photoshop of my idea. Obviously it would look alot better than it looks here. My other choices are in the poll above.

This is what they look like currently.

i'd leave the shrouds silver. That functions to accurately focus and reflect/project your headlight beams. Sometimes form over function works, but in this case, safety trumps all.

I like the idea of color matching the shrouds. I'd rock it.

Actually, im doing a projector retro now, and nothing is stock about these aftermarket headlights. Heres my retro thread.

The projectors dont use anything to reflect light outside of them, its all done inside the projectors.

What if you painted it all silver or all black, and then painted an orange eyelid thing on the inside of the light cover?

i know somebody did an eyelid before and it looked pretty cool.
