unscrew the two screws below the cd player and above the AC panel...theres only 2 screws

then slowly pry and pull the whole bezel towards the rear of the truck...

its not even held in by anything other than those screws...more like round pegs that go in round holes kinda-snuggly...

any more ?, just ask. i'll probably know.....

Ben, what are you trying to do? if you are looking to paint the bezel, it is best to take out the radio. To do that, at probably any autoparts store you can find a set of radio pullers for $5-10.

dont even need that

once te bezel is out, u cn then take 2 screwdrivers, and hold down the clips securing the cd player in, from the inside...

pull the player out while pressing the clips IN, and viola!

There was a thread on the AC mod awhile back. I think someone has a how-to on their cardomain? From what I understand, it's a switch to turn the A/C compressor on and off, so you can for example get the A/C to come out of the lower vents by turning it to the lower vents and turning the compressor on.

While we are on this subject, can we discus how to get the guages out? Like in the picture above. I have searched for an hour and typed in every key word I could think of and Honestly didnt find anything I could use. I just need it off so I can replace some bulbs that have burnt out. I suggest there be a "How To" on the removal of the guage cluster and the dash for that matter. Just a suggestion.

To save some trouble, the two bolts that hold the bezel on are 7mm.

AC mod does this : When you use any of your HVAC modes the compressor runs except when in off and vents. When its 20 degrees out and I am running the heat on the floor, floor and vent, or defrost why does the compressor need to run ? So by installing a switch I can turn it off so it doesn't run when it doesn need to. By it not running you will save a little gas mileage in the winter and anytime you need some air flow but don't really need the AC on.

The mod interrupts the A/C demand signal from the selector ****. It allows you to shutdown the compressor in MAX or DEFROST modes, but it won't give you the ability to turn on the comprssor in HEATER modes. For that, you would have to find another way to wire the switch.
