Speedometer KPH lighting

Hi I just came home with a 2010 Ranger. It was originally sold in Canada and the manual in the glove box is in French which I cannot read so I apologize asking some basic questions.

For starters the speedometer KPH dial (inner) is lit up in red much brighter than the rest of the panel showing MPH (outer) - Is this just the way it is or is there an easy way (as in settings) to turn off the inner red section of the panel lighting or do I need to research something more invasive?

thanks

Looks like this is just the way the panel lighting is meant to be (I can live with it)

on another note as a PSA I found the English Language version of the manual online available for free download at:

2010 Ford Ranger Owner?s Manual | JustGiveMeTheDamnManual.com

I hope I did not break the rules posting this link.
