You still have not figured this out yet?! It's a very simple system. Make sure you have power where it's supposed to be and make sure all you connections are clear. There really is nothing else to check... It should only take five minutes to diagnose

If you go to this page you can download a free copy of any Ford owner's manual back to 1999...
http://www.motorcraftservice.com/vdi...&menuIndex1=17

There are fuse diagrams in the manual for both the underhood and dash fuse panels. There is a chart that lists what each fuse is for.

If you don't hear the motor turn on, it is likely a blown fuse or a bad motor. If the motor turns on, then it is something to do with the lines.

Back when my parents owned my Ranger, there were one or two times where it would not spray washer fluid, but the tank had fluid. It seemed to correct itself and never happened again. We never figured it out.

1993 RWD
I am having the same issue. I have used a test light to determine that there is power getting to the pump. I even purchased a new pump in case the other was bad.

Assuming now that it is the switch (according to the wring diagram). However the lever on the steering column works for turn signals and wipers with no issue.

Same issue here on my '88. I can't hear the washer motor running when I hit the switch, just the wipers going. Where is the pump located?

This thread is 13 years old... almost old enough to drive.

I found the issue with mine. The wire came unpinned from the back of the steering wheel. The pump is located (on a '93) behind the washer fluid reservoir.

This post may be old but I found it and it solved my problem. Bad connection at the pump. Cleaned it and plugged it back in and it took right off. The nozzle on the drivers side was plugged so I blew threw it backwards with my compressor and everything is working like it should.
