I just got my mirrors today..hooked em up for kicks and giggles wow..i like em already..that will be my install for tomorrow

but the only thing that i dnt is it says thunderbolt on it..gay!

 

try some lacquer thinner on the emblem. it might just be painted on

its put on the same way as the objects in mirror are smaller so ill try on the old mirrors cuz i think it might smoke the glass..so we will see TOMORROW!!

It won't come off, it's in the mirror just like the 'objects may appear closer'.
I got mine last night and installed them today. (I don't have a dig. camera so please don't flame me for no pic's!!)
The install was not too bad, taking everything apart and installing the mirrors went pretty smooth. The wiring was not too fun, splicing the wires into the harness was a biatch, unless you are an acrobat or have hands as small as a 3 year old that was the worst part. But, they are in, they work and they look pretty darn good so overall I'm really happy with them.

 

Is the print as big as the "objects are closer" print? I don't want no ghey thunderbolt crap on my truck....I can live with it if it's as small as the oem print on the mirrors though.

 

thats no excuse, snap a shot, and put it here, takes all of about 2 mons

yeah hillbank uses Fed-ex, mostly.

I didnt think the thunderbolt logo was THAT bad.. although I had the T-bolt floormats in my truck :P.

 

The print is about half an in high by 3 inches wide, and it is etched into the glass. You won't notice it unless you are looking directly at the mirror.

The advantage of people on your sides being able to see your signal is well worth it. No tot mention the 27.95 to your door price.

 

i broke both my mirrors trying to get this b*tch in.

i have to buy some new mirrors on monday. Meanwhile, i'm Pimp My Ride status with black electrical tape holding my broken mirrors in.

I might upgrade to the 06 mirrors.. maybe..
