Ok. What are you trying to do?
If your trying to charge your A/C system with the kit you get from Autozone.
Connect it to the low pressure side valve. It'll have a black cap and its going to be right next to the compressor on the drivers side of the engine bay.

The cap you have pictured is the High Pressure side.

I am trying to fix the AC system it has been converted over to 134A and that is the low pressure side so I was going to replace the dryer and orifice since I was replacing the compressor. Also since I had the system open. I have had it dyed and vacuum tested and it passed both but still leaks. The line that has a ninety in it and enter the dryer closer to the firewall comes from the compressor. the only other inlet has a red cap and sits up by the radiator on the line that goes to the compressor.

The Orifice tube is located in the evaporator core inlet (line between the condenser core the evaporator core). You’ll see a spring lock connector on this line where it connects to the evaporator core inlet. If you disconnect this fitting and look into the evaporator core inlet you’ll see the Orifice tube.

AC Leaking freon after 2 days :-(

First off I love this page, thank you for all of your amazing advice.

I am in a quandary, I have a 2001 Ford Ranger Edge 4.0 V6. and over the past two months I have been loosing freon every two days. I know there is a leak. I replaced all of the valve cores, and the high pressure relief valve. Charged Thomas (yes I named my man) and two days goes by we are blowing hot again.

I dumped two cans of dye/R134a in the system and I can't find anything. No illumination of the dye no weird smells no oil anywhere.

Evap core looks great, hoses check, everything is dry and clean, so is my wallet after dumpin that much freon on in the system.

Any ideas Ford experts?

I hate to suggest more money but the best way to look for leaks (UV dye which you have already installed) is with a UV light and accompanying yellow glasses. Maybe you have this equipment already? It will make the dye shine like an electric light. And don't forget the condenser.

The only trouble with this dye is that is is water soluble so it will wash away with rain, etc.

Good luck!!!

Correct,
You need to look for the dye under a black light, It won't show up in normal daylight.

as a side note, Check the condenser lines in front of the radiator. I've seen those break before.

Also, if you are having trouble locating it with a dye. A sniffer tool might do it. If that fails I suggest an ultrasonic detector. An ultrasonic detector is good but expensive if the other two do not work. It would probably be to expensive to purchase your self but If you know a mechanic with these tools it might help locating the leak and then you can fix it yourself.

I just had to get my A/C serviced due to a very slow leak. It was the condenser. These are made like the radiator with plastic caps on the ends and a aluminum core. The plastic on mine either cracked or the plastic/aluminum interface developed a leak. I was told this is a fairly common failure on high mileage vehicles with this type of condenser.

It was not hard to find because the oil that came out with the Freon collected dust and showed the residual evidence of the leak.

An all aluminum condenser was installed so it should last longer. The A/C works great now.
