now that ive decided to keep my truck, whats next for me..?
i've decided to wait til the tranny just goes out to put a new one in, so i'm wondering whats next for my truck, i'm thinking between new shocks or shackles my shocks have about 70,000 miles on them i believe so i'm sure their in need of some stiffening, but what would anyone else reccomend?
lol and no comments about my wheels or tires either they're coming in time might even get some 38's to one up the new found love for 37's on the forum

37's BARELY fit...ask him or HighrollerII.....I dont know how the hell they did it. I rub with 35's.... Remember..they are stepsides too...bigger fender wells.
Need more than just a superlift and body to fit 38's...unless you enjoy the cut fender look. I hope you were joking about the 8's....looks like your were.
You want advice for the truck.....well....something that'd help this thread, is pics of the truck in question!

I wouldn't go any bigger than 35's. As it is, they'll barely fit when turning and hitting driveways and stuff. Plus, (I know I'll get flamed for this) I think 37's stuffed under there look stupid. Transmission and driveability issues to top it off. Big tires are cool if they fit and the truck is geared and so forth.
So my suggestions are sell the brush guard, remove the niteshade, install 35's on 15x8's. Get a tuner if you don't already have one.

well thank you for your suggestion, but i love my brushguard and niteshade and i dont have a tuner ive been thinking about getting one but their extremely pricey, and would it be possible to just swap gears in the rear and leave the stock 4.10's up front or is that a big nono? cause i dont really use my 4x4 THAT much maybe once a month

That truck is barely going to move with only 4/10's in it. You are going to replace your trans in about a month, maybe less.

Front AND rear. They must be matched.
*side note: my buddy's K10 on a K5 frame had 4.10s in the back and 3.73 in the front....he'd wheel it. It was quite comical always binding the tcase up and having to back up almost 1000ft to unbind the case. lol.
