My new truck's a hot rod... sort of

Well I've driven the new truck the last couple days. its a 4.0 ohv, 5 speed, 4:10's, duals that have 2 little bullet type mufflers and 31x 10.50's. Compared to my other truck with the same motor and tire size but an automatic and 3:73's its alot faster!

Actually I'm going to keep the red truck for a while. I've been driving the black one for about a year and a half which is a long time for me. The black truck is going up for sale soon, I just have to do some things I've been putting off.

So, 4.10's make it quick with 31's?

yeah between the 4:10's and the manual trans there is a big difference, not that the black truck doesn't run good just not as peppy.

Yeah I got all the electrical gremlins sorted out and everything is working the way its supposed to. Then I got called out to work yesterday and the check engine light came on on the way home...I'm sure its something minor.

yea..i'm surprized in those OHV motors. Buddy of mine, Austin, blew up his auto in his '98 4.0 on 35's. We swapped it to manual, and it sure is peppy, even with the stock 3.73s in the axles.

Yeah I was actually thinking the 4:10's are probably more than I need with the 31" tires. I'll see if I can get a sound bite.

It doesn't sound anything like a honda but your welcome to your opinion, 100% better than stock!

Put up a vid. of it from outside the cab near the pipes.... Maybe it's cause you recorded from inside the cab that it sounds like that to me...
