t bars
i want to raise the front of my truck more and i have t bars and i was wondering how do u know when they are done turning?or how far up can u go with them?

If you wanna go up all the way the will stop turning when the head of the bold gets to the metal plate and wont turn any further. You can gain anywhere between 2"-3" most people get 2.5" or so when maxed.

I used a socket. Just jack up the front end and crank 'em. Then drive it a round a little, check it to make sure both sides are still the same and then go get an alignment.

I have heard different views on jacking up the front end. I didnt when I cranked my t bars. What are the advantages to doing this.

On certain trucks like mine it was very hard tryin to crank the bars with the truck on the ground. Some prefer to have the front off the ground to make it easier.

i cranked mine with the truck on the ground. no problems.

Cranked them on the ground no issues. I watched a ford dealership use impacts on them. I asked him if that was an issue and he said nope, we do it all the time on some fleet trucks.
