Remove dealer plate/sticker and any other decal that looks stupid, stereo, protect the interior, get air fresheners, look at EVERYTHING on the truck and fix the little stuff (used or new, I'll find something I dont like). Then maybe window tint, new tires/ wheels, exhaust.. Thats pretty much how it always starts for me.

disable stupid buzzers (like the seatbelt, key in ignition, ect) remove dealer licence plate frame/decal, check all fluids & change as needed, pull off the tires and check the brakes , throw away any floor mats, remove spare & mount in bed, dixie air horns (bought them in '86/'87, still work great!) black grille guard, get a 2nd set of wheels for winter use, hitch if it didnt come with one, cap if it didnt come with one, tube steps/running boards, mud flaps. if there wasnt holes in the body panels to locate the emblems, id remove them also, once upon a time you could remove all that crap, but now you have holes to fill if you do that. i do have a small in-cab toolbox behind the seat, its lockable and big enough for all the glove box crap as well.

I keep rubber eraser wheels handy in my garage for this kind of stuff. You should be able to find one at any auto store that has a REAL paint department. It's round (obviously) gum rubber and has a threaded stud sticking out of one side that you have to buy an arbor for. Chuck it up in a drill and watch the vinyl and the adhesive disappear. The nice thing is, its almost impossible to burn the paint.

Usually Husky floor mats, headlights to something brighter, bedcaps for the Ranger, Line X, separate backup lights for hooking up to trailers at night, mud flaps, toolbox, K&N filter, adding a ball into the receiver, pop up tie downs in the stake pockets, and probably some window tint when summer gets closer. I've had the truck only for two months, so I've been busy.
