those with 33's or higher and a BL

how well do you stuff your tires in the rear?
i keep pulling out the inner lip of my fenders when its flexed out all the way and im moving.
its driving me crazy.

anybody else have this problem?
and what do you do about it?

any fleet side bed with no flares will do this...

my old 1993 XLT with just 32's did it.. bend the lip all the way back so its not flat anymore

or add flares will fix the problem

not 33 and no bl but i have 35s and they grab mine and pull them off.....i pick it up and when i get some i put it back on. zip ties are your friend.... if they break, no harm done

What is the biggest you can put on a stock 04 Fx4?

On mine I get the same thing. The set of JD traction bars that are on the way are hopfully going to cure the problem

tin snips fixed that problem but I have flares to cover up the cuts

stuff like this is gone underneath

On my 98, my 33's on 15x8's never rubbed in the rear, but I also had shackles. The shackles move the "pivot point" of the spring down an inch and a half so my tires always tucked inside of the fender flares.

hmm
i was going to roll the fenders up
but it i didnt want to damage anything on the outside. so idk.

maybe i'll just live with it and bend it back every time after im done wheeling.

Alon has a pic of his rolled back it looks fine and stops catching and slicing the tires

You'll have damage...hell...i have damage being double lifted on 35's. lol. I was SCARED AS ***** about my bedsides and fenders when I was 3" BL'd and 35's.

to me with the bed side its not so much body damage is tire damage i sliced a band new BFG with the bedside and had to get it replaced...

oh FYI some of the damage you can get with tire to front of rear fender is the axle walking.. JD bars solve alot of those problems

i need those.
thats my exact problem
it doesnt do it until i get on the gas and it causes the axle to move a bit.

need to drill three 3/8" holes for the hanger bracket.


*hack: can you get replacement bushings for the bars from Duff?

I've cut back enough where it doesn't hit the body anymore but this is the bad this about flares,

just listen
