trying to improve it to where someone actually wants it. trading for some all terrains that actually ride smooth lol. mtr's ride rough. and might as well get some new wheels for it.

and i'll probably have it for another 4-6 months anyways. might as well improve it. im bored of how it is right now.

Gotcha makes sense. The normal person probably won't notice the difference with the traction bars though. Tires will ride much better though, I've heard a lot of complaints about the MT/Rs riding really rough when they start getting worn down.

yeah they just hum a lot, and i want something a little more friendly to non-offroad enthusiasts lol

and the traction bars, doing those more for myself. because the axle wrap on this truck is ridiculous. and i get mad tire hop in the dirt even. its crazy.

The grill is blah, the rims look like crap, but those traction bars are nice.

And don't try and put a preload on them either....meaning pulling the axle bracket towards the front of the truck. I tried it....that's not good. lol.

Yup. Get yourself a nice and sharp 3/8" drill bit. There's 3 holes on each front hanger that need drilled. Rear bracket attaches between the spring plate and the ubolt nuts.

Don't forget to paint the bars and brackets....They only coat them with just enough to not rust for shipment.

x2 on the paint. i need to pull mine off to re-paint em... thinking duplicolor spray on bed liner would work pretty good.

Installing the traction bars is easy as hell, I just used a decent step drill bit and the longest part of the install was marking and drilling the holes. I didn't paint mine and they still look good and I've had them for over a year.

come on now man, you dont need to talk down to him about not being able to drive in snow. who knows, he might be able to? i live in the *** crack of the southwest. i know how to drive in snow just fine. and i doubt mine will ever rust down here lol but i'll paint them in undercoating or something just to be safe.

and after shipping, they cost me like 120.

yeah thats what im thinkin. just waiting for a few finances to work themselves out then i should be golden. but that's gonna take a few months at least. going to the jewbaru dealer today to start lookin around and maybe test drive. if i could make it work today, i would probably be coming home with an sti but sadly i gotta wait.

in another month i'll be getting a pretty good raise at work, and im waiting to see how that is, then i can work out my budget and see how much im willing to spend. ya know?
