James duff Trac bar install help

Any general advise on installing them is welcome. Whats the U-bolt torque spec ? Is it ok to re-use the ubolts and nuts ?

canned them down nice and tight, but yes you can reuse the ubolts and nuts. pretty straight forward instal.. drill the three holes, mount the front bracket, mount the bracket to on the ubolt, and the conect the two.

Check the front brackets before you install them. If they have an angle bent into them, you'll need to straighten them out. The later Ranger front spring shackles are vertical as opposed to angled shackles on the earlier trucks. You may also need to modify the rear brackets to fit, but that will depend on which brackets you get. I did not have to modify mine.

Make sure the length on your bars are equal after you get them on. It's possible to induce some preload on the springs by tightening one bar more than the other, and that can result in some odd handling. Count the number of threads showing above the nuts--make sure they are the same. Don't overtighten the nuts so much that they deform the urethane bushings--the bars need to be free to move with the suspension. And--read the directions!!

Good how to with pics here:
