I am thinking about getting tint pretty soon, and i was wondering if Llumar or sun-guard is a better brand. any others? i've heard better about llumar tho. i kinda want to stay legal, and in Texas i think the limit is 35% in the front, and i dunno the rear?? Any one know?

Thinking about tint

I would do 5% in the rear and 20% on the doors and no sunbanner, because you have the reg cab with only 3 windows it wont be to bad. Look at my truck, link in the sign. I have 5% all around and no sunbanner on the front.

I have like 35 or something on the sides i'd have to look at my GE sig. I want it darker though and i need the driver's side redone since the tint has tears in it. I am gonna get like 15%, 5% is a lil dark for me.

Question about tint since I have never done it before.....is it the lower the number the darker the tint?

I believe that is correct. I'm thinking of 20% all around and a banner. I'm pretty sure 20% is legal in Florida. 8)

the lower the number the lower the percentage of light allowed to pass through.

Silverstars (56K with time only)

5% is legal limit for the rear, and 35% for the front, but I've got 5% all around. If you want a place that'll do tinting cheaply (legal or otherwise) E-Race car stereo on W 18th. between E and W TC Jester.

in most states the rear can be as dark as u want. at least for inspection. check ur local DMV or search for a really neat site that lists all the tint laws...tintlaws.com? i dunno

Thankfully in FL we have no inspection. I've seen a few 5% all around. I think I'm going to do 5% all around except front which will be darkest legal. All black looks good but I wanna be safe too...of course backup lights will then be necessary....

nascar, rockcrawler rims

I have 5% on the rear 3 windows, and backing up at night is a religious experience. 35% on the front doors is kinda too light for my taste, but it's legal.

It's the darkest legal limit, but I really do need to add some supplemental lighting. It really is nice to keep tailgaters from blinding you, or to hide your stereo from prying eyes.
