I was wondering how often do you use them?

1. all the time (day and night)
2. whenever it's dark.
3. only in adverse conditions (fog, rain, snow, dust, etc)
4. never.
5. only in the city.
6. only on the dark, open road.

 

Whenever my driving/main lights are on the fogs are on.

 

factory fog lights, often. Most days i will turn just the fogs and running lights on if it's not clear out, and always on in dusk/night.
I like the look of just fogs on with my truck

 

Whenever my parking lights are on and it's early dawn or dusk.

 

factory fogs are on when ever my headlights are on, so basically dusk through dawn... my hellas, i only use on dark roads with no traffic

 

MY 7" driving have only been on twice on dark back roads, and my PIAA 520's once in a while. both are too bright to use in town anyway.

 

Fogs are on anytime my lights are on. Every little bit of light I can get (without using the HID's)

 

I only have my fogs on when it is foggy out.

 

Mine are always on. I have a switch in my truck to turn them off, but I don't. Whenever my key is in the on position, so are my fogs. Mine aren't factory, though. And they are only bright if I have them pointed up. However, my bulbs burnt our recently, so I have to replace them.

I dont know why you wouldnt. They make your truck look much cooler looking at (with fogs on as well) and atleast on my 03 they put out quite a bit of light, which is always good. Im always confuzzled when i see another ranger without its fogs on with their headlights.

 

Yeah, mine are always on as well. I just think it looks better not to mention people in Florida can't drive so anything you can do to get noticed so they don't run into you is good.

 

Well I dont use them all the time because i can see just fine with just my headlights on. The only times I use mine are when its foggy out or im driving during the night up at my cabin, where there are no other lights around.

 

to answer my own question, i use my fog lights only in bad weather conditions, or if i'm on a dark, winding, unfamiliar road.

 

i use them all the time with the running lights whenever im in the truck.

How do you turn them on without the headlights being on?

I have yellow fogs and they look awesome when there is snow on the ground. other than that i use them whenever i feel like it.

 

the '01 + fog light switch is seperate from the headlamp switch. so, if you have your parking lamps on, you can depress the switch, activating the fogs.

 

all the time unless its an extremely bright day

 

Mine are always on, I have them on my ignition switch so I run just fogs with out my running light son.

i have HID's in both headlights and fogs

my fogs are usualy on all the time unless its really bright out and at night i have them all on, more light the better

Whenever my lights are on (parking during the day, lowbeams at night)

So everytime I'm in my truck, they are on.

 

Factory foglites on pretty much all the time.

 

Whenever my runners are on, my foglights are too, along with normal driving lights...

The first day I got the truck, I switched the fog lights on.. and havent shut them off since except to test different things here and there :-)
