depends on the price. If it has the 5.4 have the spark plugs been done? personally thats too many miles for me. If the price is right and it has been taken care of...

i still have my ranger but if i had to i wouldnt have traded it in for my F-150. i love my F-150, it rides great, plush interior, has all the bells and whistles, has a ton of power and can tow more but my ranger is more fun to drive, it could wheel circles around my F-150 and IMO has way more character than my F-150. but i love them both and im lucky enough to be able keep them together. it all depends on youre needs. if fullsize is it, i would get the F-150 and never look back, you may regret getting rid of the ranger but youll never regret buying the F-150.. if that makes sense. lol. just my 2 cents.

Different animals. I have a Ranger, had a 03 F150 that I put 196k on and have a 08 Silverado with 92k. Both full size trucks are big appliances(and fleet owned). Comfortable, with plenty of room and capacity to move things.
But they are no fun to drive and there is no option for a clutch anymore. If you need tow, or have kids to throw in the back seat then get a F150. If not I see no need to upgrade. Later this year my company is getting rid of the fleet program and giving us a flat car allowance. I will probably buy a '10 4.0l. It costs $10k less new than a basic F150 XLT 4X4, and it costs a hell of a lot less to operate on a yearly basis. I need 4X4 to get on and off jobsites but I dont need big hauling capacity.
Dont be afraid of buying a high mile truck. I kept my 03 F150 4.6 on the road for 196k and never had to open the engine, trans or rear end. Just fluid changes and the occasional minor repair like an alternator or water pump. But 200k was about all that 4.6 had in it. It was a very tired truck at that point.
My 08 Silverado is a pos next to my old F150. Granted it has given me 92k trouble free miles so far, but the build quality of the interior is waaay off the mark. On a rough road it rattles like a paint bucket full of washers and the drivers seat is falling apart. The dash is put together like a little tykes play set. The only real highlight of the truck is the automatic locking rear axle. Its a brilliant design that Ford needs to steal.
