Here's good story.
I doubt anyone can say they've ever done this...
Today, I pulled up to the keypad to open the gate to my neighborhood. Being lazy and having just woke up, I didn't want to go through the process of rolling down my window to punch in the code. Initially, I hauled *** up to the gate as it was closing, but missed it by about a half second. So, I back up to the keypad, open the door, punch in my code. As I shift into drive to go forward, I lift my food off the brake. Keep in mind, my door is open this entire time...
Well, when I shift, my clutch doesn't engage right away, and what happens? Truck rolls back, crunches the **** out of my door, bending the inside door jam area all up and somehow completely destroying the latch, even though it didn't get touched.
Now, my door will not close unless I slam the snot out of it and even when I do that, the truck does not recognize it as being closed(e.g. door ajar light and dome lights stay on)
Basic point of this whole story, anyone have a torreador red door for a 2001 they want to sell me?

Here is a similar story but with some serious results.
My sister in August needed her son to take our Mom to a doctor's appointment. Her son drives 4x4 that is lifted about 9". So my Sis loans her BMW to her son for the doctor trip. Instead of driving the BMW to work she would take their new SUV, which her husband uses mostly and she had only drove once or twice.
Sis backs out of the garage onto the driveway (drive way has a slight incline). Sis has the SUV on the incline and before she hits the garage door remote, she sees that the other entry into the garage is open. Sis thinks she put it in Park and quickly opens the door and hops out, with both feet on the ground she discovers the SUV is still in reverse and is moving. Sis is a not a small gal mid 50s weights about 175lb, the door is hitting her in the rear and wanting to knock her down, sis still had one hand on the steering wheel which turned the wheels so that has the SUV moved backwards it would roll over Sis if she let go and went under the door. Sis couldn't hold on and grabbed the seat belt and the door sill as she was going down under the car. With all her strength and scared to death she would go under the heavy front end of the SUV, Sis managed to hang on, half under the car with her legs and hip dragging on the pavement. The car moved backwards across the street and stopped when the rear tires hit the high street curb. Sis was screaming but no help came, she had one shoe partially under the front tire but her foot some how managed to wiggle out. With great pain she freed herself from under the car, and got up. Her lower body was covered in blood. She got her cell and called her son who was there in 10 min. and drove her to emergency.
Sis's wounds, right leg her heel was almost ripped off, a 3" x 5" gash to the bone on her calf, a similar deep gash on the lower leg above the heal, her lower hip had large patch with road burn, multiple fractures in ankle and foot. Left leg, fairly large deep hole down to bone, and side of ankle damaged and a broke bone. Sis just got back to work 2 weeks ago, and walking with a crutches and walker.
Of course she feels totally stupid.
One thing, we have all done stuff that in a fast second we realize that our decision was dangerous and wrong, and either something goes desperately wrong or we get lucky. The point is anything can happen very very fast, and we all can end up eating it big time.
