the time has come for new shocks

Need to know what length I need for stock suspension. And which ones will improve the ride over stock without breaking the bank. If that's even possible. Lol

I don't know the length off the top of my head, but for ride quality, I'd say Bilsteins.

I dont know how much you wheel your Ranger but I would get the most comfortable shock you could for daily driving.

IMO, it will pay off.

I've heard good things about those Ranchos that are adjustable... I think they're the 9000s?

Ty.....Bilstein makes 5100's for stock Ranger's. They list them to only fit 2wd Edge, but it might work very well in a 4wd. I suggest trying those out.

If they don't have sufficient clearance of the CV's, tried and true route is the yellow+blue Bilstein HD's that are proven to fit. Roughly $270 shipped off eBay. Price has gone up on the past couple of years.

If I wanted a caddy ride I would have bought one. It's a truck.

valid point. but theres a line between bone jarring and "bumpy"

the 5000's are very, very stiff.

Same as? lolwut?

That's like saying Rancho 9000's are the same as stock shocks. No comparison.

How bout "comparable to" They are both light duty monotube shocks. I have had both on my Ranger and they perform the same. Only difference is they are silver and cost $180 for the set instead of $300.

I would bet the Bilstein HDs and the KYB monomax are about the same too, but again the KYBs are half the cost

Thats why i've been rocking Monore - Sensatracs for life.
right now i've got worn out Motorcrafts on my truck, I'm putting Sensetracs in this weekend.

If you want a nice ride, stick with Bilstein or Gabriels.
If you use your truck for a truck, Monroes or Ranchos

I just ordered a set of Monroes for my front. Anything will be better than what I have now, because my shocks have been done for the longest of time, and the front of my truck rides like the rear end of a dually.

I've got an FX4 w/Bilstein's and need new shocks...I'm assuming the ones from the factory are NOT HD? So I should go w/non HD again?
