I'm 8073. My truck was on the dealer lot for nearly a year before I bought it.

I really thought mine would be lower since I ordered it a month before the '08s came out... didn't realize they started production so early!

Everyone needs to display the letter in front of the numbers to accurately identify production number

That doesn't seem quite right, at least not on mine... my F150 came back with a production number of 595, but it was built in May of 07 sold as an 07... unless actually I think I got it... the whole number is D00595, so I would assume it would be number 400,595... wait, how many trucks do they build a year?
